Techshops

Hi everybody,

Please excuse me for the last time I didn’t even present myself. I’m Maxence MASSINA, a french student in his third year of business school. In our school program we have to go study abroad for 3 months on the third year. I chose San Francisco, so did some people of my class in Lyon and some people from our school ECE INSEEC in Bordeaux. We’re all here to study entrepreneurship and innovations.

Our director Ronald Morris took the class visit a Techshop. Part fabrication and prototyping studio, part hackerspace and part learning center, Techshop provides access to some professional softwares and equipment. They offer comprehensive instructions and expert staff to ensure you have a safe, meaningful and rewarding experience. Most importantly, at Techshop you can explore the world of making in a collaborative and creative environment.

If you are some who enjoys innovations and would be interesting to make alive some of your ideas even just for fun, it’s the place to go ! You just have to register for a cheap price, there are a lot of various equipments necessary to create what you want to and there is a really pleasant atmosphere. Once registered you will be able to go there from  5a.m to 2a.m.

We personally took a 3D printing and modeling class and it is really exciting to learn ! At the end of this class we will make a model of our own project. We will have these skills of modeling and printing with these revolutionary printers.

That was just a taste of everything that you can do in there. There is a lot to do, you won’t ever be bored. It is a real playground for creativity.
